La Coupe Jean Dupuich era una prestigiosa competizione internazionale di calcio. Aveva sostituito la Coupe Van der Straeten Ponthoz il cui trofeo era stato consegnato definitivamente, l'anno precedente, all'Union Saint-Gilloise dopo la terza vittoria consecutiva. È anche considerata la precorritrice della Mitropa Cup. La coppa per il vincitore era stata donata da Adolphe Dupuich mentre il torneo era intitolato a suo figlio Jean prematuramente deceduto.
